Leading up to 2017, Diane and Patrick Regan OBE faced illness and loss in their family and community. After a series of operations and events that took them to the brink; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, Patrick and Diane were inspired to start a movement helping others. They pioneered and led the charity together through many changes and challenges, always sticking to the vision and values. In 2023 they felt called to move into new roles and handed leadership of the charity over to Ellie Gage who was appointed in 2024. Patrick and Diane continue to be advocates for Kintsugi Hope and wellbeing.
Patrick Regan OBE is a freelance speaker through Brighter Days Ltd, is bringing wellbeing training into workplaces - including schools, local authorities, the NHS, prisons and businesses – alongside other exciting projects that he is passionate about.
Diane Regan is fulfilling a life long dream of becoming a Midwife and is currently studying at university.
Kintsugi Hope was founded by Patrick and Diane Regan with the aim of bringing hope and healing to communities. The first Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups were piloted in 2018 & 2019.
We expanded our reach, training more churches and charities to deliver Wellbeing Groups in their communities. This involved adapting and moving our Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group training online to keep up with growing demand!
Our Wellbeing Groups have positively impacted thousands of individuals and communities, with stories of saved lives and freedom from shame. We also pioneered a piece of research in 2021 with think thank Theos called "Mental Health Friendly Church" that is now a training day helping churches to change their culture towards mental health and wellbeing.
January 2024 - Patrick and Diane decide to step down as leaders of Kintsugi Hope and Ellie Gage is welcomed as CEO in September 2024. We continue to grow and strive towards our vision of a world where mental and emotional health is understood and accepted, with safe and supportive communities for everyone to grow and flourish.
