Patrick Regan
Patrick is President and Co-Founder of Kintsugi Hope, which came about following a
series of personal trials and ill-health affecting Patrick and his family. Prior to
that, Patrick led urban youth work charity XLP, which he founded in 1996 and ran for 22
years.
Patrick is a regular contributor on radio and TV on issues of justice and wellbeing. A
passionate communicator, Patrick is equally at home on the main stage at major UK
political party conferences and engaging in robust debates in the media as he is
connecting with business and community leaders and speaking to inmates in a
maximum-security prison or gang leaders in Jamaica. He is Patron of Welcome Churches,
whose vision is for every refugee in the UK to be welcomed by their local church.
He is the author of seven books, most recently Brighter Days.
Joel Harris
Joel spent most of his teenage years growing an online following through YouTube &
Instagram, becoming a social media influencer, and travelling the country presenting
shows. Despite such success, he struggled with his identity, and the subtle trap of
seeking worth through likes and followers. Now working at Kintsugi Hope, he developed
and oversees the youth & student work of the charity. He is passionate about helping his
generation be freed from the shackles of poor mental health.
Rachael Newham
Rachael manages the Mental Health Friendly Church Project at Kintsugi Hope. She founded Christian
mental health charity ThinkTwice and led it for a decade before joining Kintsugi Hope. Rachael
studied her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Theology at the London School of Theology
and is the author of Learning to Breathe, with a second book out in 2021. She lives in
Hertfordshire with her husband and young son and can usually be found drinking coffee.
Lynette Brooks
Lynette started her working life as a nurse and Health Visitor, then left the NHS to go to Bible
school, followed by a season on team at a Jamaican school. Lynette was involved in teaching and
training at CWR (Waverley Abbey Trust) for many years and is now a qualified counsellor and
Kintsugi Hope’s Relationship Manager. Her interest and experience lie in all aspects of
emotional wellbeing and mental health, and her biggest joy and hope is that every single person
is helped to know they are created in God’s image, are known, valued, and loved for who they
are, and can embrace all aspects of their humanity.
Caitlyn Kelly
Caitlyn is our Northern Ireland Development Manager. Kintsugi Hope touched Caitlyn's life in 2017
and she is keen to develop the work across Northern Ireland. Caitlyn grew up within the Theatre
and Performance Industry performing in many shows across NI alongside running her own Music &
Theatre School in Derry/Londonderry. Caitlyn is passionate in sharing her journey with Mental
Health and Brokenness from her own personal experiences as well as the effects of perfectionism
within the Arts Industry and today's world.
Clarie Miles
Since her first episode of depression as a Christian in her early 20s, Clarie has been passionate
about seeing churches equipped to support people in their mental and emotional health. Now an
accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 20 years of experience in the NHS, as well
Kintsugi Hope’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Clarie brings together her faith,
personal experiences of mental illness, and professional expertise as she trains and teaches on
